Universal Truth Ministry is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child at the Universal Truth Education Center in Layyah, South Punjab. This page describes our current safeguarding practices, in plain language, and the steps we are taking to strengthen them as the ministry grows.
The safety and wellbeing of every child comes first. We are committed to protecting children from harm and to acting with honesty and care in everything connected to their learning and wellbeing.
Two teachers are present with the children at all times during center hours. As the number of children grows, we will review whether more adult supervision is needed to keep a safe ratio of adults to children.
Parents give permission for their child to attend the center, and we ask a parent's permission before any photo or video of their child is taken. We are moving from informal, verbal permission to a simple written or recorded consent, so there is always a clear record.
Photos of children may be used in ministry presentations, on this website, or on social media only after a parent has given permission. Wherever possible, public materials use group photos, photos taken from a distance, or images that do not identify individual children (for example hands, books, or activities). We do not publish a child's full name alongside their photo without specific parental consent.
We keep a parent or guardian contact number on file for every child currently enrolled at the center.
Teachers keep day-to-day attendance and participation notes, which our safeguarding contact compiles and maintains. We are agreeing clear rules on where records are stored and who can see them, so that each child's information stays private and secure.
This is a living document, and we are actively building on it as the ministry grows. The next steps we are putting in place include: written consent from parents, clear rules for storing and accessing records, a simple sign-in for visitors to the center, and basic guidance on what is appropriate to post about children on our social media.
If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child connected to Universal Truth Ministry, please tell us straight away. Minor day-to-day issues are handled by the teaching team. Serious concerns are passed to our designated safeguarding contact, Kainat Zuhaib.
To raise a concern, contact us immediately through our Contact page or by email at zuhaib.asgher@universaltruthministry.org, marked for the attention of our safeguarding contact.
This statement will be reviewed and strengthened as Universal Truth Ministry grows, particularly around formalizing written consent and adopting a full Child Safeguarding Policy.
